Mattias Kraemer is a Halcyon Fellow from the 2016 Studios Program. His autobiographical hybrid non-fiction book 'American Dream: From Washington DC To Brazil and Back by Land' (Book One: 140 pages, 38 chapters) written and developed at Halcyon, explores transnational identity, shared history, and cultural emergency throughout the Americas, and was included in the Ward 12 Exhibition at Halcyon House in December 2016. 

A conservatory-trained actor, collective film and theatre maker, and trilingual Chilean double national (BFA NYU Tisch School of the Arts; MA Cultural Anthropology Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile; PGC International Business Management Georgetown University), Mattias most recently served as the Deputy Director of Asset Building Programs at the Mission Economic Development Agency in San Francisco, and has more than fifteen years of international experience facilitating creative arts empowerment and civic justice practicum for emerging ensembles, private, public, and cultural sector organizations, and diverse communities across four continents.
